Short Answer
Expanded details pages show a great deal of asset performance data, helping DeFi investors get visual context about asset metrics and make strategic, timely investment decisions.

As the platform continues to evolve, you’ll notice a growing suite of tools, charts, and features within your portfolio dashboard and within each Expanded Details page. Here, we’ll take a deeper dive into how you can leverage these asset performance metrics to your benefit to make more strategic DeFi investment decisions.
As a DeFi investor, having the most accurate and up-to-date asset data is critical to maintaining a balanced, profitable portfolio. Our expanded details pages give you more charts and investment context in one place. More data, faster, in fewer clicks.
Let’s start by giving a high-level overview of the Expanded Details pages in general. As a DeFi investor, you’re familiar with how liquidity pools work and how impermanent loss can impact your portfolio. It can be difficult to understand, visualize, and/or quantify this data in a concise way. That’s part of what Yield Monitor seeks to accomplish — aggregating asset performance data in an expanding toolkit for DeFi investors. Our standalone database infrastructure helps us track tens of thousands of liquidity pools and the assets within them; give you an edge to make more data-driven decisions.
First, let’s understand how to how find the Expanded Details pages. Our main page, featuring liquidity pool charts, offers quick views of thousands of liquidity pools across our tracked networks and protocols. You can leverage our search and filter features to find what you’re looking for faster, based on your own preferences.
Understanding the Basic LP Token Price Chart
To sort and view thousands of liquidity pools, simply log into your Yield Monitor account and select Charts & Data — Liquidity Pools from the navigation menu. From there, you’ll see our default view of liquidity pool charts. Before we look at Expanded Details pages, let’s make sure we understand what the basic cards are showing us.

In this first view, we’re looking at a hypothetical Trader Joe liquidity pool. Starting from the top, and scanning downward, we can see that:
- this pool is on the Avalanche blockchain,
- the price of the LP Token is $0.41
- it’s up 12.9% in the last 72 hours
As we move down the card, in the image below, we can see that:
- the assets within the pool are JOE and USDC
- the price chart that reflects the $0.41 LP Token price
Note: the LP Token price is not calculated by adding the price of individual assets. This is a common misconception in DeFi. Here’s a basic formula for calculating LP Token prices. Sometimes, different protocols and smart contracts impact this calculation, so remember that it’s not a “one-size-fits-all” approach.

In our final image, we see two elements worth noting: the LP Token Price “Shorthand”, and the link to view Expanded Details.
Occasionally, the price of an LP Token might be extremely small — billionths of a cent. This can create a couple of issues, like:
- difficulty to see / read on the page, or
- breaking mobile design
To account for this, we’ve created a “shorthand” that converts the LP Token price if needed into a smaller number. This doesn’t happen very often, but it’s important to be aware of. You can learn about our “shorthand” here.

Now that we understand the main liquidity pool charts page, we’re ready to dive deeper into Expanded Details pages. Once you find your desired liquidity pool or asset, simply click on the “Details” button to view more granular asset metrics and performance data. Note that the Expanded Detail examples below are using another hypothetical liquidity pool. The asset data contained in these sample images is not real, or accurate — they are for illustrative purposes only.

Part 1: Liquidity Pool Token Price Chart
As the name implies, the default chart shows users the $USD price of the LP Token. You can toggle between this chart, and the Asset Trade Ratio, which we’ll cover below. Reminder — the LP Token price is not calculated by adding the price of individual assets. This is a common misconception in DeFi. Here’s a basic formula for calculating LP Token prices. Sometimes, different protocols and smart contracts impact this calculation, so remember that it’s not a “one-size-fits-all” approach. This is just one of the ways Yield Monitor can offer immediate value and visual context to DeFi investors.

Part 2: Asset Trade Ratio Chart
The asset trade ratio is what investors are most likely to see on any decentralized exchange (DEX) — it visualizes the change in asset trading ratios within the liquidity pool. Leverage this data to make strategic, timely trades based on your investment preferences and goals. Part of our roadmap includes the deployment of an advanced trade router tool, which will give investors extra context about where and how to make the most effective trades based on market liquidity and other factors.

Part 3: Trading Volume & Fees
One of the benefits of being a liquidity provider in liquidity pool is earning part of the fees generated from trading activity within the pool. Being able to visualize recent trading volume and, subsequently, trading fees offers immediate value to DeFi investors and liquidity providers. We’re working to make both of these charts available.

Part 4: Single Asset Price Charts
To offer as well-rounded of an experience as possible, we now include the single asset price charts for each asset. We can see the asset price, its recent historical change, and see the contract address for that particular token on each blockchain. Additionally, users can view secondary Expanded Detail pages for that single asset via the button next to the price chart.

In the sections below, we’ll cover the six data tabs found at the bottom of every liquidity pool expanded details page, what they show, and how you can use them to your benefit.

Part 5: Tabbed Data — General Information
At the bottom of Expanded Details pages, you’ll see a series of tabs. In our first tab, we see General Information including the amount of individual assets within the LP Token, and their respective $USD value. We also include a small chart that reflects the LP Token price as a reminder of recent performance.

Part 6: Tabbed Data — Token Ratios
The second tab shows the Token Ratio — a charted representation of the quantity of each asset within the LP Token. Investors can leverage this data to take advantage of arbitration opportunities and make strategic trades, based on their own investment strategies and DeFi portfolio objectives.

Part 7: Tabbed Data — Impermanent Loss Calculations
The third tab helps investors understand and calculate their own Impermanent Loss based on example entry and current positions with a single LP Token. Users can leverage this data to get a more clear understanding of their own positions to measure ROI more effectively.
Note: This feature is evolving and in progress. As a reminder, please consider Yield Monitor in BETA and use our tools as a single part of your overall DeFi toolkit. This design features an updated layout of the section: current data may not reflect the design below, or may not be available for all tracked liquidity pools.

Part 9: Tabbed Data — Order Book Data
The fourth tab shows investors recent Order Book data, including:
- the date and age of the transactions
- the token quantity of the transaction
- the $USD value of the transaction
- the wallet address of the transaction
This data may not be available for all tracked pools. If you’d like to see it for a specific pool, please let us know.

Have feedback for us? We want to hear from you. Thanks!
Part 10: Tabbed Data — Tracked Pools
DeFi investors can leverage our fifth tab to spot new DeFi opportunity based on their existing investment styles. The Tracked Pools list shows users what tracked, in-network protocols offer matching liquidity pools. This helps users spot new opportunity faster, and provides immediate links to review that pool’s own Expanded Details page.

Part 10: Tabbed Data — Tracked Farms
Create additional yield with your DeFi investments through Yield Farming. Our sixth tab, Tracked Farms spotlights these opportunities, so investors can find routes to maximize their ROI through other investment vehicles. Within the section, we can see:
- the LP Token farmed
- the DeFi protocol offering the farm
- the yield farm reward token(s)
- the %APR of that yield farm
- link to the performance chart for that yield farm
